ORIGINAL BREZZE REVOLUTION "TERMS OF USE"

Use of Breeze Revolution Materials:

If you use any Breeze Revolution materials to create a sprite, even as slight as a recolor, you are required to credit all current members of the Breeze Revolution Team and Green Raven for the Breeze Template itself, for anything that you do. This applies to use in video games, videos, or in any redistribution of Breeze Revolution material of any format.

Redistribution of Breeze Revolution Materials:
You can redistribute the materials you have created from Breeze Revolutions material. However, you must credit all members of the team and ALWAYS Credit Green Raven for the template itself. If you fail to provide credit, legal penalties will be issued. Using Breeze Revolution material Commercially is permitted, however you must get consent from either Green Raven or Axerax. The Private Message to either must show a link to the game that will feature material, how much it will be sold for in U.S. Dollars, where it will be distributed, and if you plan to give any percentage of gross net profit back to The Breeze Revolution for allowing use of materials. If you are to use material non-commercially, you must simply provide the applicable credit.

Please note commercial use does not require you to provide us any of your profits back for using material, but generosity goes a long way.

Linking Material:
Please do not hotlink images found inside this topic. We have store all works finished or said to be incomplete with specific filenames for redistribution, this is to protect the original spriter's name and provide correct crediting for material.

We take pride in spriters work for Breeze Revolution. We have these terms in place to allow artists the correct crediting so they will continue to provide more material for Breeze Revolution. Take these Terms of use seriously, if you fail to follow any rules listed here, you will have punishments taken into account.

How to use Breeze Revolution Material

Using Breeze Revolution Material is dependent upon what you are going to use.

For completed tilesets or spritesheets, simply right click the image, save as, save (DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME!!*), finally import into where-ever you plan to use the material, and provide the correct crediting for the material.

For Bits and Pieces:
Please follow the same instructions above.

Next open the material with the appropriate template, using GraphicsGale, Paint.NET, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Gimp. Photshop and Illustrator both cost money, and are generally not considered the best choice for spriting, but they will do if you own the programs. Read instructions and tutorials about the programs provided by the website for usage.

Illustrator CS3: http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/

Now Select All (Ctrl+A) then copy the pieces selected (Ctrl+C). You may also select specific areas using the Marquee Tool or Magic Wand Tool and copy it using the same keyboard command.

Now simply paste the selection(s) onto the template, move them until they are in the positions you want, save the file, preferably a PNG as it support Transparencies, and close the file.

That's all there is to it!

Saving the file with a transparent background and as a PNG will serve as one less of a step for users who wish to edit work, as they will not need to remove the background color and is easier to import with a transparent background.

The reason we save files like this, is to preserve the original creators name, allow us to upload it to the gallery easier, making it more organized. As well it will allow users to search for specific artists work on the gallery.
